What Are the Factors Affecting Pull Force?

Jun 25, 2023

The pull force of super strong neodymium magnet depends on several factors such as size, shape, and magnetization grade. Other factors that can influence the pull force of a magnet include the material it's attracting, the distance between the magnet and the material, and the environment in which the magnet is used, such as temperature or the presence of other magnetic fields.

Size and Shape: The size and shape of magnet also play a role in determining its pull force. Larger magnets generally have a stronger pull force compared to smaller magnets, all else being equal.Besides, magnets with a more complex shape or with a greater surface area may also have a higher pull force.

Grade: The magnetization grade of custom sintered NdFeB magnet is a measure of its maximum energy product, which is a way of measuring the strength of its magnetic field. magnets with a higher magnetization grade will have a stronger pull force than those with a lower grade, all else being equal.

Pull force is typically measurement uses some tools

1.Gauss meter to determine the magnetic field strength at a specific distance from the magnet. The pull force can then be calculated using a variety of equations based on the magnet's properties and the distance between the magnet and the target material. Manufacturers typically provide pull force specifications for their magnets based on standardized testing procedures.

2.Force gauges (spring scales) and pull testers to determine the pull force of a magnet. Force gauges suspend the magnet from the scale and measure the force required to pull the magnet away from a ferromagnetic material.
